CMA warns of record-strong super El Nino as climate impacts already hit China_我的网站

As sea surface temperatures in the equatorial central‑eastern Pacific are expected to peak around November to December, potentially leading to a record-strong super El Nino event, China has already experienced typical El Nino-related climate patterns this summer, the China Meteorological Administration announced on Tuesday. These include two major rain belts in eastern regions that caused widespread and intense storms with overlapping impacts, as well more frequent and stronger typhoons delivering prolonged wind and rain. 
The central and eastern equatorial Pacific entered an El Nino phase in May, and sea temperatures have since surged. The monitoring region’s sea surface temperature index 2.09 C in July, up 0.49 C from June. By mid-August, it had climbed to 2.64 C, signaling an unusually fast warming trend, the CMA said. 
However, according to China’s national standard, a super El Nino event has not yet officially formed. 
Given the current pronounced warming trend, a super El Nino event is highly likely to occur, with its intensity potentially exceeding that of the three strongest events on record in 1982-83, 1997-98, and 2015-16 and making it the strongest one ever observed, according to the CMA. 
Since the start of summer, China’s abnormal climate patterns have reflected the typical impacts of the El Nino. The western Pacific subtropical high and the monsoon trough have shifted farther north and become stronger, while upper-level cold vortices have repeatedly moved into northern China, resulting in two major rain centers in the north and south, the CMA said. 
A stronger summer monsoon has contributed to more frequent and intense typhoon activity, bringing heavier rainfall to southern China and the lower Yangtze River. In northern China, the northward-shifted subtropical high, frequent cold vortices and long-range moisture transport through the typhoons have contributed to repeated strong winds and heavy rain, according to the CMA. 
According to CMA, as El Nino continues to develop rapidly and its impacts tend to lag behind its development, the National Climate Centre will strengthen monitoring and forecasting efforts, while closely tracking its future evolution and potential impacts on China’s climate.

。    तुहिन शर्मा, देहरादून। राज्य में हर वर्ष की तरह होने वाले खेल महाकुंभ कराने को लेकर इस बार भी युवा कल्याण एवं प्रांतीय रक्षक दल विभाग ने तैयारियां शुरू कर दी हैं, लेकिन इस बार खेल महाकुंभ में कई तरह के बदलाव व संशोधन किए जा रहे हैं।,राज्य स्तरीय ट्रॉफी को सीएम, जिला स्तरीय ट्रॉफी को सांसद, ब्लाक स्तरीय ट्रॉफी को विधायक और न्याय पंचायत स्तरीय ट्रॉफी को स्थानीय जनप्रतिनिधि का नाम दिया जाएगा। इसके अलावा राज्य स्तरीय विजेताओं की पुरस्कार राशि भी बढ़ाई जा रही है। युवा कल्याण विभाग ने यह प्रस्ताव शासन को भेजा है।,उत्तराखंड में हर वर्ष अक्टूबर से दिसंबर के बीच प्रतिभाशाली खिलाड़ियों को चिह्नित करने के उद्देश्य से खेल महाकुंभ कराया जाता है। ताकि चिह्नीकरण के बाद अव्वल खिलाड़ियों को स्पोर्ट्स कालेज व खेल विद्यालयों में दाखिला दिलाया जाए। जहां उन्हें उच्च स्तरीय प्रशिक्षण मिले और वह अर्द्धसैनिक बल व पुलिस भर्ती की शामिल हो सके। जिला युवा कल्याण एवं प्रांतीय रक्षक दल, खेल विभाग और शिक्षा विभाग के समन्वय से खेल महाकुंभ होते हैं। खेल महाकुंभ की सबसे पहली प्रतिस्पर्धा न्याय पंचायत पर होती है।,इसमें अव्वल प्रदर्शन करने वाले खिलाड़ी ब्लाक स्तर में खेलते हैं। ब्लाक में बेहतरीन प्रदर्शन करने वाले खिलाड़ी जिले में मुकाबला करते हैं। फिर जिले में जबरदस्त प्रदर्शन करने पर उनका चयन राज्य स्तरीय प्रतियोगिता के लिए होता है। पिछले वर्ष तक ग्राम पंचायत स्तरीय ट्रॉफी में प्रथम स्थान प्राप्त करने वाले को 300 रुपये, द्वितीय को 200 और तृतीय को 150 रुपये बतौर पुरस्कार मिलते थे। ब्लाक में प्रथम स्थान पर रहने वाले खिलाड़ी को 500 रुपये, द्वितीय को 400 और तृतीय को 300 रुपये दिए जाते थे। ऐसे ही जिले में प्रथम को 800, द्वितीय को 600 और तृतीय को 400 रुपये का पुरस्कार मिलता था।,राज्य प्रतियोगिता में प्रथम को 1,500, द्वितीय को 1,000 और तृतीय को 700 रुपये दिए जाते थे। इसके अलावा चैंपियनशिप की व्यक्तिगत स्पर्धा में पांच खिलाड़ियों को स्वर्ण, तीन को रजत और दो को कांस्य पदक पुरस्कार मिलता है। टीम स्पर्धा में पांच टीमों को स्वर्ण, तीन को रजत और दो को कांस्य पदक दिए जाते हैं।,इस बार खेल महाकुंभ कराने के लिए युवा कल्याण एवं प्रांतीय रक्षक दल विभाग ने शासन को संशोधित प्रस्ताव भेजा है। शासन में मंथन होने के बाद जल्द ही खेल महाकुंभ की तिथियां निर्धारित होंगी। इसके बाद समिति गठन और खिलाड़ियों का पंजीकरण आरंभ होगा।,

खेल महाकुंभ की ट्राफियों के नाम पर इस बार बदलवा किए जा रहे हैं। खिलाड़ियों की इनाम राशि पर भी संशोधन चल रहा है। जल्द ही खेल महाकुंभ के आयोजन की तिथियां जारी की जाएंगी। इसमें सरकारी/निजी शिक्षण संस्थानों, विभिन्न छात्रावासों, निजी कोचिंग/ट्यूशन और खेल अकादमी के छात्र प्रतिभाग कर सकेंगे। -अमित सिन्हा, विशेष प्रमुख सचिव, (खेल)।
